Our 2nd Anniversary!
Oh boy. It's been 2 years since I got together with Fai. Time really flies. So much has happened, so much has changed and we have really grown more mature compared to how we both were when we first met. For those of you who still aren't aware of how we got together, here's how :)
I was 17, he was 22. I'd attended the Swap&Shop flea market at Chinatown then which was also organized by the same team that did it a few weeks back as well. Which means, Fai included. Anyway, like every other girl, I had a booth with my friends and we had tons of stuffs to sell. Therefore, we came extra early to set everything up, since that was my first flea ever and I didn't know what to expect.
After about 20 minutes or so, a random guy who seemed to be the person in charge of the flea, came up to me and asked if my name was "Eunice Annabel". I said "Yes." and he went "OMG. I've been looking for this booth for so long. This actually isn't yours. Your's is over there! This belongs to them!" referring to a group of girls whom I've noticed sitting at the side of the road for a pretty long time. Of course I'd apologized and he'd allocated them to the other table so I could just stay at mine that was already set up.
And if you don't already know, that random guy was Fai. hahaha. Those were the first few words he'd ever said to me. And my first impression of him was that he was pretty rude and too authoritative. But then again, I thought he looked pretty cute and a guy with such responsibility is pretty attractive don't you think? hehehe. But I didn't see him for the rest of the event.
About 2 days later, I went for an underage party organized by SMOOVE? That's what they used to be called right? I was 17 so that was the only sort of parties I could go for. It was my first time as well and a few days before that, another random guy who seemed to be some sort DJ for the party posted his mix tape on my Facebook wall. I thought that it sounded really good and I'd looked forward to seeing him live at the party. His name was S.O.F.
S.O.F's entrance for the party was amazing, it was powerful and sexy cause he was in a suit. HAHA. So of course, I was mesmerized and I kept telling my friends how cool I thought he was. I had no idea that that DJ is the exact same guy I'd met at the flea! Which was Fai. hahaha. Sorry if this is confusing, well I was just as confused two years back.
I'd only realized this the very next day when The Random Guy/S.O.F/Fai sent a Facebook message to me asking if I had gone for the party the night before. Of course I was happy that the DJ of the party talked to me, I was 17, who am I kidding, I felt really cool of course. I'd replied, we started talking more and I'd realized that he was the same guy at the flea. After weeks, we'd decided to meet.
Fai was a little rude and too straight forward in the beginning and no matter how cool he was, I just wasn't sure about him. We'd stopped talking for months until Vaunt 6 came into the picture. I was invited by the team to join the competition not knowing that Fai was one of the organizers again! I was pretty late for the "audition" and the security officers had told me that no one was in the office anymore. He'd allowed me to take the lift up to check so I did. The next moment was epic. The second the lift door opened, Fai was standing in front of me. Yes, like in a movie. We haven't seen or heard from each other for months and there he was standing in front of me. Face to face. Guess what happened next? He shouted "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!" Yeap. That's how rude he was then.
I smiled slyly and headed into the lift before he asked "Eh wait! You're here for vaunt? No one is up there anymore, I'll bring you up." And so he did. Of course we talked a bit, he asked what happened blah blah blah... Nothing significant happened, the rest of the team came back, Shanice who was there did most of the work on me and I left after a few minutes. It felt pretty sad to be honest.
We started talking again and things got better a little. Filming for Vaunt started and that's when we really got closer because we saw each other almost everyday. After a while, we started dating and I'd realized that Fai was a really kind-hearted, hardworking, hilarious, down to earth, truthful and sincere guy. He may come across as too straight forward and rude initially but he's changed significantly ever since and on Christmas 2011, we got together officially.
Over the past 2 years, there were countless amount of ups and downs. So many emotional situations that could really tear us apart individually. So many crazy things we did for each other, so much shit we'd put each other through. But we did it. And we're so much stronger now then ever and we've really grown together into mature, sensible and responsible adults. No one could ever replace Fai. What he has done for me, what he has endured for us, is admirable and it takes a lot of faith and strength, and for that, I respect him and love him with all my heart. MY DJ S.O.F! HAHAHAHA
Some pictures taken during the early days of our relationship :)
Him and his helmet hair. HAHAHA
And here's how we spent our 2nd anniversary ;)
Well, Fai had already made reservations at some restaurants but I was feeling sick the entire afternoon. I'd only got better at about 6.30PM on Christmas. Which means I'd already wasting half the day away lying in bed in pain, and puking out everything that I'd eaten in the morning. Poor Fai, he was just waiting for me to get better while working on his next mix tape.
So we skipped dinner at that restaurant and only went out at about 9PM. When everyone's Christmas was coming to an end, ours had just begun. We went for steamboat at Bugis because my weak and empty stomach could only take hot soupy food. And we'd spent Christmas and our anniversary just walking around empty town and talking about anything and everything, like how we usually do :)
That's something Fai and I enjoy most, just being in each other's company and spending time together. We spend so much time together that it feels weird not having each other by our side, well that's how I feel. I don't know about him. HAHA. We even have our own sort of language FYI. hahaha
Sitting outside Ion just enjoying the amount of freedom we have for now.
My Fai Fai has grown older and wiser. hehehe
And that's how it all went! :)
Can't wait to go away on a holiday with my love soon. We really need to get away from work, away from all these stress! As it is now, even though we're both on a short break, we still can't hide from work. It's crazy and Fai and I both agree that our real assets should be our time and freedom instead of just work and money all the time.
Anyway, I'm ending off this post with my OOTDs! :) I just LOVE the Christmas/New Year's season. You get to really dress up and layer on pieces cause the weather is always cold and dressing up is some what mandatory! hehehehe. I've been wearing a lot of red lately and that's not just because of the Christmas season, it's probably my new favorite color! hehehe. REDXGOLD FOREVER!
